Draw, Me, A Story by Manasvini Supraja
This workshop invites attendees into a generative space where making becomes a process of sorting, filtering, and making sense; art becomes an act of clarifying, and knowing oneself becomes a method of resistance to the rigid, ubiquitous capitalistic structures and demands of the world.
It will be an exploration-based, inquiry-driven experience designed to ground makers in community, exploration, and imagination while giving them the tools to explore identity and collective liberation from systemic hurdles they encounter as human beings in an increasingly divisive world.
Together, we will write, draw, collage, fold, reflect, speak, and disrupt. Engaging in a series of exercises that begin with looking inward, then around, moving through the page and image, and culminating in collaborative making.
We are not aiming for mastery or perfection, but are aiming for presence, for play, and for persistence.
In a time when dominant, rigid structures urge us to consume more and dream less, in the age of apocalyptic automation, this workshop reclaims the line, the written word, the folded page, and the collective spirit as tools of meaning-making, identity building, and artistic insurgency.
